Black Nativity[plays and performances]
From the Moore Theatre's web site, "A Seattle holiday tradition continues in its 3rd year at the historic Moore Theatre. This year's gospel song play by noted American poet and novelist Langston Hughes features special guest gospel and R & B star BeBe Winans for performances from December 21 to December 23 only. Every performance features the powerful voices of Pastor Patrinell Wright and the Black Nativity choir, backed by a soulful live band. Jamel Gaines, founder of Creative Outlet Dance Theatre of Brooklyn and choreographer for Seattle productions of The MAAFA, and Sankofa Theatre, as well as DANCE This guest choreographer, will bring his award-winning dance styles to this year's production, promising that no night will be silent when the magic of Christmas is celebrated through gospel favorites, stirring poetry and electric dance that will move your spirit and inspire your heart!"
