Ada's Technical Books and Café is worth visiting. Located on Capitol Hill it makes very clever and good use of its space. Upstairs is a workshare space where you can reserve space to work during the day, while downstairs is both the bookstore and the café. The store features a nice collection of very interesting and cool children's books, and an even wider range of more advanced technical books. And with a coffee shop right there, it makes for a great browsing and shopping experience. The store also hosts a number of different author events, some of which are for kids events.
