The Pacific Science Center is one of the marquee attractions at the Seattle Center. This is the first U.S. museum founded as a science and technology center and there are a number of permanent and temporary exhibits here. The Tropical Butterfly House is one of the shining jewels here and gives everyone a chance to personally interact with these wonderful insects. In addition to the exhibits, two IMAX theatres and a planetarium are on-premise. The IMAX theatres show both mainstream and educational movies, while the planetarium has its own shows plus hosts traveling "Laser Shows" (Laser Pink Floyd, anyone?). The cost of the IMAX theatre and planetarium showings are in addition to general admission to the museum. Expect to spend at least 2 hours at the museum checking everything out. - MyGiraffe.com
